Supporting Nature Restoration from Source-to-Sea
As a registered Scottish charity we work with stakeholders, partners and volunteers, utilising research-driven approaches to help nature thrive in marine, freshwater and terrestrial environments.
Marine:
Forth Marine Hatchery
We are committed to the restoration of keystone species in the Firth of Forth. Fished to extinction in the past, this initiative focuses on the restoration of the native oyster alongside lobsters and seagrass together with encouraging optimal marine conditions for them to thrive.
Coastal:
Scottish Coastal Clean Up
Working collaboratively with coastal organisations, community groups and volunteers, this initiative aims to coordinate and remove plastic pollution and marine litter from around Scotland’s coastline and raise wider awareness of issues amongst adults and children.
.
Terrestrial & Freshwater:
Muir to Forth
In partnership with farmers, land managers and communities, this initiative brings together projects that enhance nature ‘hotspots’ and ‘corridors’ that, over time, inter-link to grow nature networks across East Lothian connecting the Lammermuir Hills to the Firth of Forth.
